I think the point in our preparations I have enjoyed the most is picking out what to take with us. Once the selections have been narrowed down a strategy must be developed for actually packing them. That is where the bundle wrapping method I read about at onebag.com has really come in handy.
Joy usually handles the logistics of fitting into as few monstrous containers as possible all the crap I want to take. But this timearound, I determined to have a go at it myself. My bag is packed. With my MetroSafe 300 and Rick Steves Convertible Carry-on, I exceed the Rick Steve’s recommended 20 pounds, weighing in at 23 pounds. I’m still wrestling with the temptation to throw in my snorkel and mask.
Here is a video I made to demonstrate bundle wrapping.
An added thought. Today should mark the end of posts using other people’s photographs (with respect to this cruise). From here on out, I hope to be posting pictures of what we have already seen instead of what we hope to see. Stay tuned folks!
